A Greener Endoscopy - You requested, We listened

In recent years, the world has witnessed a growing awareness of the environmental impact of plastic pollution. As a result, many companies and individuals have been striving to reduce their plastic usage and find more sustainable alternatives. One significant area where this shift is taking place is in the realm of packaging.

Plastic packaging has long been a staple in the consumer goods industry due to its convenience and cost-effectiveness. However, its detrimental effects on the environment, particularly in terms of pollution and harm to wildlife, have prompted a reevaluation of its usage. Companies across various sectors, from food and beverage to medical suppliers, have been rethinking their packaging strategies to minimize their environmental footprint.

A recent feedback exercise with our customers indicated the requirement for reduced plastic packaging on our disposable valve sets.

Therefore..

PENNAMED LIMITED are pleased to announce that moving forward all of our disposable valve sets will now be supplied in reduced plastic packaging with the outer plastic packing removed. This will not only help to reduce plastic waste but it will also help with storage in the units due to smaller outer cartons.

The compacted packaging will also mean that we can now fit more product onto our couriers therefore reducing the need for extra vehicles. This will not only reduce the amount of vehicles on the road but it will also reduce our deliveries carbon output.

The figures speak for themselves:

5 piece button set = 61% reduction of plastic used.

4 piece button set = 19% reduction in plastic used.

The new changes will apply to our Olympus and Fujinon valve sets. We will look to add Pentax valve sets to our range at a later date.
